Just as Beyoncè’s Lemonade and Jay-Z’s 4:44 caused so many to pause, reflect, project and wax poetic, Waite’s A BEAUTIFUL TERRIBLE THING has me holding my breath, checking my pulse and eyeing my exes sideways. 😒
It reads like a thriller, but this ain’t fiction
Disclosure: I haven’t finished yet, and I already don’t want it to end. I take great comfort in knowing that she’s still here and still standing after discovering her husband’s unfaithfulness shortly after giving birth to their daughter. Ugh.
