I’m not a big cider or beer drinker. But, I do love a glass, ok glasses, of rosé! So when I stopped by Butter & Scotch in the Crown Heights section of Brooklyn and noticed the women-owned bar and bakery added Wölffer No. 139 Dry Rosé Cider to their menu, well I tried it and I loved it! It’s only 6.9% alcohol, perfect for my lunch date. Can’t front. I was mesmerized by the pretty label and tantalized by the bubbles before my first sip.
Full disclosure: I’d gone to Butter & Scotch to celebrate Pi(e) Day after seeing their post on Instagram. Though I’m a huge fan of their key lime pie, my palate was set on their gooey S’mores pie. Since the marshmallow is freshly torched, my delightful server [who was feeling rather “dandy”] suggested I have my ice cream on the side. My dining companion had the special —an incredible pear & ginger crumble pie— a la mode. Oh, and how could I forget, we both had their delicious chicken and biscuit sandwich before dessert. Everything was yummy. And yeah, I’ll return again and again.
